Hattstugan first in Sweden with MinMemoria

Digital life story at an award-winning care home

Hattstugan, run by Jane Lindell Ljunggren and Pia Lindell, becomes the first in Sweden to use MinMemoria and Televindu through the collaboration between Wera Welltech and VilMer.

– At Hattstugan we understand how important a person's life story is; we need to know who the person fundamentally is in order to treat them with dignity, says Jane Lindell Ljunggren.

According to the National Board of Health and Welfare, 98% should have a life story

The national guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare set the goal that over 98 percent of people with dementia should have a documented life story. Today only around 73 percent of reported people with dementia in Sweden's nursing homes have a documented life story, according to the Board's statistics.

Benefits of the digital solution

With MinMemoria, family members can contribute pictures and information on an ongoing basis instead of filling out a paper form once. This makes the life story more alive and makes it easier for substitutes and new staff to quickly get to know the person they care for. Televindu is used in parallel to spark memories and conversation through tailored films.
