- Voice recognition: say “metakatt” and the cat makes different movements. You can adjust or switch off the brightness of its eyes, increase or decrease the volume of its meowing, and more.
- Rechargeable battery — charges with a USB-C cable (included; a charger is required, and a standard phone charger works). A 30-minute charge provides around 11 hours of activity. Depending on how often you interact with the cat, this can last several days or weeks.
- 3 built-in sensors that respond to touch (on the back, head and under the chin)
- Heartbeat sounds in response to touch when holding the cat.

MetaCat – what difference can it make?
A robotic therapy and companion cat can bring joy to people who are lonely or have cognitive challenges and who love cats. Interacting with the robotic cat allows the person to show care for someone or something. Sitting and stroking and talking to a living animal is deeply relaxing and calming, and a robotic cat works in a similar way: it responds to certain spoken commands in English, looks around, purrs and meows, blinks its eyes, and its heart beats when you hold your hand on its back.
Many users have owned cats before, so stroking and brushing a cat’s fur again feels completely natural in their daily life. It also allows the person to express care and affection towards the cat, which purrs, meows and shows its “love” in return.
The cat has a lifelike appearance and resembles a real cat in feel, movements and sounds.
AI “Deep Learning” technology has been used to learn how real cats move and reproduce those movements in the robotic cat.

More about voice commands:
The cat responds when you say “metakatt” and then performs different actions. The phrases are in English, and you can control movements such as shaking its head, moving its tail and looking in different directions.
You can adjust settings, such as raising, lowering or switching off the sound. You can also turn the eyes’ light on or off and adjust its brightness.
The eyes have several animations: for example, a red heart appears when you say “I love you”. There are 29 commands in total; see the manual for the full list.
