Created calm and evoked good memories
Ann-Charlotte Arlbrandt, test lead at the care home, says the residents had already watched 158 different films during the first week.
– It was appreciated that there were calm films suited to the target group without disruptive ads. Films of pets and puppies, for example, sparked laughter and conversations about memories of their own animals, she says.
Continued use in Gothenburg
Staff appreciated that the solution was easy to understand and use, and the care home has rolled it out across all units. The content library is planned to be expanded further together with the municipality and volunteers.
About the service
VilMer Digital Experiences contains hundreds of films — many in "slow-motion" format — slideshows, conversation games and stories adapted for older adults, accessible via TV, tablet and mobile.
