Digital experiences – content that activates, evokes memories and starts conversations
Digital experiences is a service from VilMer that makes it easy to offer person-centered activities via TV, tablet or mobile – with a TV channel for people with dementia, a large film library and ready-made activity plans for elderly care.
What's included?
The service is an aid in reminiscence work, with calm films tailored to needs and interests – for example animals, crafts and Scandinavian nature. Since autumn 2023, there is also "Live TV," a TV channel showing content adapted to the time of day, perfect as reassuring background TV at a nursing home.

How do you get started?
The app is downloaded and you log in with an account provided by Wera Welltech. We provide staff training and hold recurring management meetings where we review your needs, statistics and news.
Contribute your own content
The municipality or care home can contribute their own films, for example from the local area, nature films or church services – VilMer quality-checks the content. It's also possible to share films between nursing homes within the municipality, create your own playlists, and access other municipalities' collections.
Over 100 municipalities
In Norway, Sweden and Denmark, the service is used in around 100 municipalities. The first in Sweden was the dementia care home Hattstugan in southern Gotland (run by Silviahemmet), followed by the day center in Staffanstorp (Förenade Care), Gothenburg and Örebro. In Gothenburg, a structured test was carried out within the AllAgeHub testbed – after 7 months the service was used daily, and during June and July 332 films were watched.
