The dog has lifelike fur and built-in sensors that respond to touch and movement. He barks happily when you speak to him, snuggles his nose, turns his head towards sounds, wags his tail and has a heartbeat when you stroke him.

How to use it:
Hold the dog in a way that feels natural and real. Touch his fur and observe his reactions. It may feel natural to talk about your own pets, or simply sit quietly and cuddle the dog.
These animals suit people with dementia as well as older people without dementia.
They also bring a great deal of joy to staff and family members, which matters too!
Smart companion pets
Living animals are important to many of us, and these sociable robotic dogs offer several similar benefits.
They can counter unwanted symptoms of dementia such as worry, apathy, sleep difficulties and anxiety. The animals can also increase personal engagement and provide positive stimulation. It is important to remember that not everyone likes animals; someone may, for example, have experienced trauma while growing up. As with all care, it is therefore essential to consider the individual’s wishes and needs.

They are very easy to care for! In short, all you need to do is:
• Change the batteries occasionally. They last a long time because the dog enters sleep mode when no one interacts with it.
• Use an ordinary brush to tidy the fur.
• Use a damp towel to wipe away dirt and clean the animal.
