MinMemoria – digital life story

MinMemoria is a tool for person-centered care and communication that develops how the life story is used. It becomes more vivid, accessible and possible to update continuously – and the care recipient can communicate with relatives on the same platform. Photos and videos can be shown to the resident and facilitate conversation, making the life story more user-friendly and appealing for all ages.

What is a digital life story?

A digital life story is a digitalized version of the traditional paper-based life story, where the care recipient and relatives can together add photos, videos and memories that staff can use to create security and meaningful conversations.

MinMemoria digital life story includes

  • Unlimited content and number of users in each resident's Memoria profile
  • Access to a continuously updated system
  • Operation, storage and maintenance of the service
  • Support via phone, email and chat in the app

MinMemoria training and follow-up

For the best possible start, the process is adapted to the customer's needs and scope. Each customer gets a MinMemoria contact person who helps with planning, preparation, launch and implementation.

Training and follow-up include: user training for the project group and relatives, digital training materials and resources, and regular follow-up.

Creating added value

MinMemoria is more than a digital life story – it enables further development of the entire person-centered approach. Relatives can contribute and take part in everyday life, staff can send messages and photos securely, and photos can evoke memories and spark positive conversations that reduce anxiety. New staff and substitutes quickly get to know residents by reading about what matters to each one.

MinMemoria in Swedish press

MinMemoria has been featured in outlets including SVT, Gotlands Tidningar and Skånska Dagbladet for how the service helps digitalize the life story for people living with dementia.

Customer example: Staffanstorp

At Staffanstorp's day center, the tool is used daily, and over two years they have sent more than 4,500 messages to relatives.

The life story is needed by many organizations

The life story is central to person-centered care. Everyone who meets a person with dementia traditionally collects it on paper – digitalized, the story can instead follow the person and make care easier in every setting, such as day centers and home care.

MinMemoria is one of several services from VilMer that Wera Welltech works with, alongside VilMer VR and Digital Experiences.
